Paid ads. What’s the difference?

Although I’ve only just started my Google ads course, I can confidently explain. The main difference is user intent. When you type something into Google, you’re looking for something in particular, so you already know what you’re searching for, the intent is there to find the answer to your question.

When you compare this to being on Meta (Fb and Insta) the chances are you’re browsing leisurely, checking out your best mates’ snaps. Then an ad pops up, which has been targeted to appeal to you, based on a multitude of data points. So, you’re not actually searching for that product, you might not even know that product exists, or that you might need it.

The user intent is different, and it’s for this reason, that it’s always worth considering having both paid ad options in your marketing strategy.
